Project X facing direction
The isometric engine is now able to support the character changing direction without moving.
Not sure if changing direction should be action points or movement points?

Turning might cost a fraction of moving; so for example -- 3 points to move, 1 to turn (think Jagged Alliance). Also, does using action points prevent future use of movement points? I.e. can one swing a sword, then move away?

I think I will do like you said and make it 1 mp to turn and 3 for movement.
The user can do whatever they wish providing you have enough points.
There will be items to boost your movement distance etc.
